Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing the telecommunications systems and networks of an organization. This includes the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, as well as troubleshooting and resolving telecommunications-related issues. The Telecommunications Administrator works closely with other IT team members, as well as with vendors and service providers, to ensure the smooth operation of telecommunications services and the efficient communication flow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain telecommunications systems and networks, including PBX (Private Branch Exchange), VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), video conferencing, and other related technologies.
• Monitor and manage telecommunications infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications-related issues, such as network outages, call quality problems, and connectivity failures.
• Collaborate with other IT team members, vendors, and service providers to implement and maintain telecommunications-related projects, upgrades, and migrations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, system backups, and patch management, to ensure the integrity and security of telecommunications systems.
• Provide technical support to end-users for telecommunications-related inquiries, incidents, and service requests.
• Create and maintain documentation, including user guides, procedures, and system configurations, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of telecommunications systems.
• Conduct periodic performance monitoring, capacity planning, and trend analysis to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of telecommunications and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Adhere to established IT policies, procedures, and security protocols, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
